The Hyundai range is surprisingly varied, yet maintains a level of quality throughout that few manufacturers can compete with. Their smallest model - the city car i10 - is incredibly affordable (to buy and run), well-equipped and fun to drive; all aspects it shares with the bigger i30 hatchback, one of the leaders of its class. The i40 saloon doesn't excel quite like its siblings, but being roomy and comfortable, it gives the Mondeo and Passat cause for concern. Over the past few decades Hyundai have done much to rid themselves of the cheap and cheerful reputation they once had. Affordable, reliable and genuinely good to drive, Hyundai have grown up.
